Powerstation Events Photography in CT.
I am extremely lucky to have 2 daughters that are wedding photographers in my family. Both of them work at a company called Powerstation Events in Cheshire CT. I always brag at what great photographers they are. Here are a few of my favorite photos over the years. Heather is extremely humble and feels that I only love her work because I'm her mom. Hannah, is just starting out but she has always had an amazing eye for are and photography. I'm sure that you will agree with me that these photos are amazing! It takes a special bride to trust that they can get just the right shot in the rain or in the freezing snow. I would have loved to see their faces when they saw the photos for the first time.
Photo by Heather Colt, Powerstation Events Photography. This is a photo from Heather's "Snotober" Wedding, on October 29th, 2011 at the Avon Old Farms Hotel in Avon CT. She told me that her bride Jenna wanted a wedding to remember. Well, it was. We had a freak October Noreaster snowstorm that crippled the state, which moved thru the northeast through the day. It produced widespread snow and winds near hurricane-strength. Winds as high as 69 mph (111 km/h) were observed and the National Weather Service, issued a Hurricane Force Wind Warning. The venue lost power but Jenna & Chris rolled with the punches as all the guest and staff of powerstation were forced to spend the night.

Photo by Heather Colt, Powerstation Events Photography. Heather had the pleasure of shooting Kelly & Geoff’s wedding at the Villa Louisa in Bolton, CT. Even though they were not blessed with the best weather, it was a great day with such an in-love couple. Their love story, in fact, is quite unique and was even featured in the Hartford Current shortly before their big day! Both in politics, Geoff, is a state representative, and Kelly is on the Manchester Board of Education. They met in a parking lot in June 2006 while volunteering on Gov. Dannel Malloy’s first campaign.

After a long day of partying, she was able to get them back on the beach for some last minute shots. It's always these shots, at the end of the night that gets me excited to see what Heather can do next.
