Callan and Jean-Paul were married August 20th, 2010 at the Waters Edge, Westbrook, CT. My daughter Heather was the Photographer from Powerstation Events.
Callan's bouquet was the first wedding bouquet that I had ever seen in the real touch flower line. As a fresh wedding florist for over 33 years I didn't give silks a second look, so while these were being developed around me, I was missing the boat on this new fad. When I was given a wedding job to do that was to be made of silks, I started my research. When I told my daughter Heather who is a wedding photographer, what I had learned, she excitedly shared this story of Callan. She told me that she had to keep going up to the bouquets to retouch them because she couldn't believe they were not real. As I looked at the pictures over and over I just knew I had to expand my services to include real touch silk flowers. While my main job is doing 3 to 4 fresh weddings a week during wedding season, I will continue to offer my services as a real touch florist too.
Callan's mother who is also a florist was the one that put this amazing wedding together. I will forever be indebted to her for opening my eyes.
